With us, you have to be a little active to experience the perfect sunset. Not from the terrace, of course, but high up on the mountain. Well, not that high up again :)
You'll fill your lungs with the fresh, unique forest air as you walk along the forest path and through the forest. The trail to Larberg is a real treat for body and soul. As you breathe more deeply and let the natural tranquillity take effect on you, all you will hear is the rustling of the leaves and your own footsteps. And when you finally emerge from the top of the forest, two old stables with ‘viewing levels’ await you. From there, you can look out over the ‘Ahorn’ and enjoy the sunset.

Zwei Menschen betrachten den Sonnenuntergang am Berg

Naturally special.

  • A beautiful, varied forest trail.
  • With a bit of luck, you'll come across a fox on the way back.
  • The wind blowing through your hair as you admire the sunset.
  • A seemingly unspectacular place where (almost) nobody watches the sunset.

Real no-gos.

  • Make your way back without a head torch (available at reception).
  • Drive to the viewpoint by car
  • Leaving rubbish behind - the ultimate no-go.

For the approx. 20-minute journey, enter Steinerkogelhaus in your Googel Maps, but don't park at Steinerkogelhaus, but rather HERE - to save as much space as possible. Now follow the forest path for about 1 hour - here you can see concise points on the way so that you don't get lost Slowly you leave the forest, which means there are only a few minutes left until you arrive here.

Find a nice hill and enjoy …

On the way back, please do not leave the forest road under any circumstances and light your way with your headlamp!
